About our company

The company Duquette & Turgeon, Optometrists and Opticians, arose from the passion of two graduates of the optometry program at Université de Montréal. The company was founded in March 1986, when Drs. Hélène Turgeon and Sylvain Duquette opened their first office in Hudson. Their immediate success led them to opening a second practice the following year in Vimont, Laval. In order to provide and maintain quality services, the young entrepreneurs soon understood the need for complementary professionals and decided to work closely with licensed dispensing opticians. As a result, for over 15 years now, opticians Isabelle Lalanne and Suzie Pelletier have been pillars of the company and associate partners. Dr. Amélie Poirier, optometrist, also joined the team in 2005.

Since then, this multidisciplinary team has continued to grow and is made up of loyal employees. It is committed to providing the very best care for each of its clients.

Each optometrist and optician on our team is governed by a professional corporation and must acquire continuing education units on an annual basis in order to maintain the right to practice. Through their knowledge and this continuing education, each member of our team therefore remains abreast of the latest technological and scientific innovations in their respective field.

Our vision was born 25 years ago – a vision of offering total eyecare services of the highest quality thanks to cutting-edge technology, along with advice and solutions to ensure our clientele’s complete satisfaction, all under one roof. To this day, our vision continues to be realized, as we now serve thousands of satisfied customers every year!
